Description

You will lead Site Reliability Engineering practices for enterprise-scale systems leveraging MS SQL and Azure App Services, defining standards for reliability and operational automation.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement highly available infrastructure supporting MS SQL and Azure App Services workloads.
• Develop observability frameworks for monitoring, alerting, logging, and cost management tailored to SQL and Azure environments.
• Partner with data engineering and development teams to embed reliability into SQL schema design, workload management, and CI/CD deployments.
• Drive incident management for SQL and Azure issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing systemic remediation.
• Reduce operational toil through engineering automation to improve stability and responsiveness of dependent services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of SRE or production engineering experience supporting large-scale, cloud-based systems.
• Expertise in MS SQL, including query optimization and workload management.
• Hands-on experience with Azure App Services and cloud engineering.
• Strong background in automation, observability tooling, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading reliability initiatives and supporting complex data ecosystems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years tenure in previous SRE or production engineering roles.
