Description

Architect and lead the development of scalable, secure APIs and data-heavy applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable APIs using Spring Boot and AWS services.
• Implement ETL pipelines and real-time data processing solutions using Kafka.
• Optimize database queries and system performance for high-throughput, low-latency requirements.
• Architect, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in production support and Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience focusing on API development, ETL, and automation.
• Expertise in AWS services including Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and SNS/SQS.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with SQL, data scripting, and database optimization.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or MongoDB.
• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms for real-time processing.
• Proficiency with automated testing tools such as JUnit, Selenium, and Postman.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and VPC configuration including IAM, firewalls, and load balancers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience contributing to e-commerce search, catalog, or pricing management systems.
• Working knowledge of Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
