Description

You will lead technical direction and development for C and Java-based applications, owning architectural decisions and coding practices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural decisions and create documentation for software design and coding practices.
• Develop, test, and support new and existing applications within an agile environment.
• Identify, design, and implement solutions for software defects and troubleshoot production issues.
• Support QA testing efforts and lead project planning.
• Provide technical coaching to less-experienced peers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience with both Java and C.
• 3+ years of experience with Java Spring, Java Swing, and servlet technologies like Struts.
• 5 years of experience working in a Linux environment.
• Strong familiarity with OO design and development methodologies.
• Experience with relational database design using PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience developing web applications and services.
• Proficient understanding of server-side CSS.
• Familiarity with standalone debuggers such as GDB.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
