Description

Lead the design and implementation of resilient, low-latency Java-based services within a Dispute Resolution environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Java capabilities, taking end-to-end ownership of delivery and coding standards.
• Lead a co-located Agile SCRUM team to meet delivery deadlines and resolve emerging technical issues.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-dependent teams to define features and user stories.
• Research and recommend alternative technical solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert programming skills in Java and microservices development.
• Proficiency in architecture and implementation of distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Cloud, Spring Boot, and Tomcat.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL persistence technologies, specifically Oracle and MongoDB.
• Strong command of CI/CD principles and tools including Maven, Jenkins, and Chef.
• Expertise in cloud hosting technologies such as PCF and Azure.
• Proficiency in testing frameworks including JUnit, Cucumber, Spock, and ATDD/BDD approaches.
• Working knowledge of Kafka event streaming.

Preferred Skills

• Full stack experience with Angular.
• Experience with monitoring solutions such as Splunk or DynaTrace.
