Description

You will own the design, development, and operational stability of secure, high-quality software solutions using Java and cloud technologies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with a focus on non-routine approaches.
• Develop secure production code and conduct rigorous code reviews to debug and validate team output.
• Identify opportunities to automate the remediation of recurring issues, improving overall application stability.
• Lead architectural discussions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcome-oriented decisions.
• Coach engineers on the safe, compliant adoption of AI-assisted development tools and validate their outputs for correctness and security.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering with formal training or certification.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and React.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and general cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in Python and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools.
• Ability to set and enforce team expectations for validating AI outputs regarding correctness, performance, and security.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and software development life cycle toolchains.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Jules, Spinnaker, J2EE, or test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or application resiliency and security practices.
