Description

Lead software engineering efforts for secure, high-quality production systems using Java and Spring Boot.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud infrastructure.
• Write secure, high-quality production code and conduct thorough code reviews for team members.
• Lead architectural evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive technical outcomes.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead communities of practice to drive awareness of new technologies across the engineering organization.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Extensive hands-on coding experience in Java, including deep understanding of Core concepts, multi-threading, and object-oriented design.
• Proficiency with Spring Boot framework for building enterprise applications.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of database systems, specifically Oracle and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the full Software Development Life Cycle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with modern front-end technologies and mobile development.
• Familiarity with messaging platforms like Kafka, IBM MQ, or MSK.
• Background in financial services, application resiliency, security, or AI/ML.
