You will lead a cross-functional engineering team, own the platform's technical vision, and drive high-performance Java backend and React frontend development.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of Java backend and React frontend engineers, setting technical direction and code standards.
• Architect and implement high-performance Java microservices, performing profiling and tuning for optimal resource usage.
• Define and maintain the platform's long-term technical vision, architectural runway, and integration contracts.
• Establish reliability goals by implementing observability, resilience patterns, and secure-by-default practices across systems.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Kubernetes, API Design, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with React for frontend development.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting or auxiliary engineering tasks.
• Ability to partner with Product and Delivery teams to shape roadmaps and manage dependencies.
• Experience leading incident response and post-incident reviews to reduce MTTR.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with messaging technologies (Solace), FIX protocol, and computer networks.
• Background in investment banking, fintech, or CIB Markets.
