Description

Lead technical development for the Global Commissions and Comp-Operations Platform. Own the architecture, implementation, and quality of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Build applications using modern design patterns and architectural principles while removing technical impediments.
• Develop high-quality, well-documented, and efficient code that adheres to client standards.
• Collaborate with product owners to define feature stories and work with tech leads to define technical designs.
• Write unit, integration, and functional automation tests to address issues discovered by QA or product support.
• Coach team members and provide input on emerging technologies to embed learning into daily workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with React, Springboot, or Node.js frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of JSON, SOAP, XML, JDBC, and MySQL.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Practical application of Agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Ability to implement service-oriented architecture (SOA) patterns and REST APIs.
• Understanding of software security concepts including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, or Jenkins.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Core Services like CloudWatch and Code-Deploy.
• Knowledge of data streaming tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS.
