Description

You will design, develop, and scale the core backend infrastructure for a highly regulated fintech and gaming platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for system performance, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs using Python.
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and availability for production workloads.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with AML, KYC, data privacy, and state-by-state sweepstakes regulations.
  • Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement proactive monitoring and alerting.
  • Mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience designing and scaling high-performance backend systems.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Python for backend development, automation, and data processing.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and influence technical direction across cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of system performance tuning and security best practices.
  • Experience working with product, finance, and compliance teams in regulated environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with data pipelines, analytics platforms, and fraud detection systems.
  • Exposure to geolocation-based access controls.
  • Background in fintech, gaming, or regulated platforms.
