Description

Lead the design and development of scalable GraphQL APIs and integration architectures connecting COTS platforms with internal systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL APIs for efficient data exchange between external COTS platforms and internal systems.
• Architect scalable integration solutions, middleware, and data pipelines to ensure reliable system-to-system communication.
• Implement data mapping, transformation, and synchronization processes while maintaining data integrity and security standards.
• Mentor engineers on integration patterns, GraphQL best practices, and technical decisions for the investigations technology stack.
• Collaborate with COTS vendors on technical integration requirements, API specifications, and troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years focused on enterprise system integration.
• Strong expertise in GraphQL, including schema design, query optimization, resolver implementation, and federation patterns.
• Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3, and RDS.
• Strong understanding of Oracle and SQL Server databases, as well as DocumentDB and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML), and API gateway technologies.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GraphQL federation and federated architecture implementations.
• Background integrating case management, analytics, or enterprise software platforms.
• Experience with message brokers and event-driven architectures.
