Description

You will lead large-scale data migration projects and manage a team of data engineers to meet migration milestones.

Responsibilities

• Migrate databases and objects from monolithic applications to a microservices landscape.
• Direct a team of engineers in archiving unused databases and file systems to low-cost on-prem or cloud storage.
• Manage large-scale migration projects by identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating impacts to stakeholders.
• Design data solutions that comply with healthcare security regulations, specifically PHI and PII.
• Mentor data engineers to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience post-degree completion.
• Hands-on experience migrating databases to SQL Server using SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA).
• Expertise with SQL Server and mainframe DB2 databases, including schemas, stored procedures, and functions.
• Thorough knowledge of real-time CDC replication using Qlik Replicate or Precisely Connect.
• Experience managing boundary system impacts during complex migrations.
• Deep understanding of healthcare data security standards (PHI/PII).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud storage archiving strategies.
