Description

Own the design, implementation, and analysis of complex healthcare data systems, ensuring interoperability and data quality across legacy and modern platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement application systems, focusing on HL7 data formats including FHIR and Ab-Initio.
• Map data from HL7 formats to FHIR and store data for query and analysis.
• Create technical artifacts such as Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Source to Targets (S2Ts), and Data Models.
• Perform data warehousing, data profiling, data quality analysis, and data analytics.
• Gather business requirements and collaborate with vendor teams to create system design specifications and use cases.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT work experience in application system design and implementation.
• Strong SQL skills for advanced querying and data analysis.
• Experience with XML, JSON, and Erwin.
• Proficiency in HL7 formats (including FHIR) and exchange mechanisms.
• 3+ years of data modeling experience with Postgres, DB2, or comparable databases.
• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and reference data management.
• Ability to work in complex team environments with multiple vendor teams.

Preferred Skills

• HL7 certifications for FHIR.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Familiarity with AWS and healthcare industry concepts (e.g., HEDIS, EHR).
