Description

You will lead the administration, configuration, and maintenance of monitoring tools across distributed environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and configure DataDog on Linux platforms, including APM instrumentation for Java applications on Tomcat.
• Configure infrastructure, network, and centralized logging for Linux, Windows, and AIX systems.
• Implement End User Monitoring and Browser Real User Monitoring using JavaScript injection.
• Develop Selenium scripts for business transaction monitoring via CloudBeat Synthetic Monitoring.
• Analyze production issues by correlating data from multiple sources to identify performance causes and recommend solutions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience in distributed environments.
• Expertise in DataDog administration, including Infrastructure, Network, and Log monitoring.
• Strong Red Hat Linux platform background.
• Experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Hands-on experience with Java application instrumentation on Tomcat.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, and Ansible for automation.
• Knowledge of SSL setup on Linux and CA certificate installation.
• Experience with centralized logging from WebSphere, Tomcat, and client web servers.
• Familiarity with network components including switches, routers, Palo Alto, SNMP, and F5 Load Balancers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Big Panda and CloudBeat Synthetic Monitoring.
• Knowledge of WebSeal, Info Blocks, Gigamon, and Network Mapping.
