Description

You will own the administration, configuration, and maintenance of systems and application monitoring tools.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage and configure DataDog on Linux platforms to monitor infrastructure, networks, and applications.
• Instrument Java-based applications on Tomcat and WebSphere to ensure health and performance.
• Configure centralized logging from diverse sources, including AIX servers and client web servers.
• Build data visualization dashboards, set up health rules, and implement End User Monitoring via JavaScript injection.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience in distributed environments including Linux/Unix, Windows Server, and VMWare.
• 3+ years of hands-on DataDog administration or ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) experience.
• Strong Linux (Red Hat) background with experience managing SSL setups and CA certificates.
• Expertise in monitoring Java applications on Tomcat or WebSphere application servers.
• Proficiency with Python, Shell, and Ansible for automation tasks.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, LAN/WAN architectures, and SQL Server.
• Experience with database architectures, network components, and routing logs using F5 Load Balancers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Selenium or VuGen scripting.
• Knowledge of network hardware including Switches, Routers, Palo Alto, and Gigamon.
