Description

You will own the engineering and maintenance of the systems monitoring infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and maintain DataDog on Linux platforms.
• Oversee network and server monitoring for Linux, Windows, and AIX using DataDog, SNMP, and logs.
• Configure centralized logging from sources like WebSphere and Tomcat, managing log formats and routing via load balancers.
• Instrument Java applications with DataDog, setting up health rules and fine-tuning monitoring.
• Create data visualization dashboards and set up End User Monitoring.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of IT experience in distributed environments, including Linux/Unix and Microsoft systems (Windows Server, Active Directory).
• Minimum 3 years managing monitoring tools, specifically DataDog administration, or equivalent ELK Stack experience.
• Strong background in Linux platforms (Red Hat) and understanding of SSL setup on Linux servers.
• Experience configuring and monitoring network components like Switches, Routers, and Palo Alto.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Ansible for automation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure components like F5 Load Balancers and SNMP utilization.
• Experience with database architectures, including SQL Server.
