Description

You will lead large-scale systems operations, infrastructure planning, and complex technical initiatives to ensure high availability and platform resiliency.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, broad-impact initiatives and provide high-level systems consultation for technology teams.
• Manage change and release processes as a gatekeeper, controlling issues through early engagement and reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis and problem management to identify recurring issues and implement automated solutions.
• Own platform upgrades, migrations, and technical refreshes for large-scale applications and databases.
• Provide 16x7 production support and guide less experienced staff to resolve highly complex technical problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture.
• Extensive experience in a Mainframe environment.
• Proficiency with COBOL and JCL.
• Hands-on experience with CICS, CA-7, VSAM, and DB2.
• Working knowledge of SYNCSORT, Easytrieve, ICETOOL, NDM, and File Manager.
• Experience using IBM Utilities such as IEBGENER and ISPF.
• Background in production support and application development environments.
• Ability to manage ETL platforms and nightly batch job schedules.
• Strong skills in automation, instrumentation, and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with ServiceNow.
• Experience with Zeke or SCHEDULE.
