Description

You will lead the design, development, and execution of test plans for WiFi routers, extenders, and mesh networking solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional, performance, and stress tests to evaluate WiFi range, throughput, and reliability.
• Validate roaming performance using 802.11k and 802.11v to ensure seamless device handoffs.
• Analyze WiFi extenders for coverage optimization, latency, and backhaul performance.
• Develop and implement test strategies using both manual and automated testing methods.
• Capture and analyze network performance data using packet debuggers and testing tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in wireless testing and network debugging.
• Deep understanding of 802.11 WiFi standards, RF fundamentals, and wireless security protocols.
• Hands-on experience with WiFi routers, extenders, and mesh networking solutions.
• Proficiency in Python or shell scripting for test automation.
• Experience with VeriWave, IXIA Chariot, Alethea, or Spirent.
• Expertise in packet analysis using Wireshark or OmniPeek.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, and RADIUS protocols.
• Experience with band steering, cloud-managed WiFi, and roaming protocols (802.11k/v).
• Familiarity with WiFi 6/6E/7 advancements.
