You will lead the design, development, and execution of test strategies for WiFi routers, extenders, and mesh networking solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, performance, and stress testing for WiFi range, throughput, and reliability.
- Evaluate Wi-Fi roaming performance using 802.11k and 802.11v to ensure seamless device handoffs.
- Analyze Wi-Fi extenders for coverage optimization, latency, and backhaul performance.
- Capture and analyze network performance using packet debuggers and throughput tools.
- Integrate WiFi 6/6E/7 advancements into existing test strategies.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in wireless testing and RF fundamentals.
- Deep understanding of 802.11 Wi-Fi standards and wireless security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi routers, extenders, and mesh networking solutions.
- Proficiency in network debugging and packet analysis using Wireshark and OmniPeek.
- Experience with industry tools such as Veriwave, IXIA Chariot, Alethea, and Spirent.
- Ability to automate testing using Python or shell scripting.
- Knowledge of band steering, cloud-managed Wi-Fi, and roaming protocols (802.11k/v/r).
- Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, and RADIUS.
- Experience with iperf and other network performance tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AP/Extender configuration and complex network troubleshooting.
