Description

Lead L3 escalation for critical network incidents, owning the troubleshooting and resolution of complex WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and wireless infrastructure issues to ensure SLA compliance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve P1/P2 incidents across Viptela SD-WAN fabric, Cisco LAN switching, and Catalyst 9800 wireless environments.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Cisco Viptela SD-WAN (vManage, vEdge/cEdge), handling overlay/underlay routing and policy-based routing.
• Execute advanced routing and switching tasks including BGP, OSPF, route redistribution, STP/RSTP, VLAN design, and EtherChannel.
• Manage Cisco Catalyst 9800 WLCs, including WLAN profiles, RF optimization, AP provisioning, and HA-SSO configuration.
• Lead Major Incident Management calls, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and drive permanent fixes and problem management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of enterprise network operations experience.
• Deep expertise in Cisco Viptela SD-WAN (vManage, vEdge/cEdge).
• Strong hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and DHCP.
• Proficiency in managing Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controllers.
• Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for incident and change management.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science (or equivalent).

Preferred Skills

• Cisco certifications: CCNP/CCIE (Routing & Switching/Enterprise) or Cisco Viptela SD-WAN certification.
• Automation knowledge using Python or Ansible.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds or ThousandEyes.
