Linux Administration Administer and manage Linux servers including RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SUSE Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability Troubleshoot L2-level incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls Configure and maintain services such as SSH, FTP, NFS, DNS, and DHCP Perform server patching, upgrades, and system hardening activities Work closely with L1 support teams for issue escalation and resolution Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell scripting (Bash/Python) Manage logs and monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, etc.
Handle file systems, LVM, RAID configurations, and performance tuning Support networking-related configurations and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, Routing) Backup & Recovery Administration Manage and monitor backup jobs, schedules, and retention policies Perform backup and restore operations for critical systems and business data Troubleshoot backup failures and ensure SLA compliance Conduct periodic backup validation and recovery drills Implement and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies Ensure backup infrastructure availability and operational efficiency Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams during recovery activities Required Skills Strong hands-on experience in Linux Administration Good knowledge of: File Systems, LVM, RAID Process & Memory Management Networking Concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Routing) Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or similar Scripting knowledge in Bash/Python Experience in backup and recovery operations Backup Tools Expertise Good hands-on experience with: Avamar Rubrik Veeam
