Description

Manage enterprise Linux infrastructure, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Wintel systems, ensuring platform availability and operational readiness.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer RHEL production environments, handling system configuration, account management, OS maintenance, and lifecycle support for physical and virtual servers.
• Deploy, manage, and support Kubernetes clusters and OpenShift, ensuring operational readiness across enterprise infrastructure.
• Manage Wintel platforms including Active Directory, Group Policies (GPO), DNS, and DHCP; execute DR, data center moves, and capacity management.
• Perform monitoring, patching, and vulnerability remediation in compliance with operational requirements and contracts.
• Document environment policies and procedures, and collaborate with service providers to minimize service interruptions.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in production.
• Experience with OpenShift or enterprise Kubernetes distributions and cluster management.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong Unix/Linux system administration skills.
• Wintel support experience: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO management.
• Experience with server hardware/software configuration, installation, patching, and performance tuning.
• Ability to implement planned changes, including upgrades, repairs, and capacity management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MVS System Administration.
• Background in collaborating with external service providers for infrastructure correction actions.
