Description

Manage and maintain enterprise-level Unix/Linux environments across physical and virtual systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems including RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SUSE.
• Automate system administration processes and repetitive tasks using Bash, Python, or Perl scripting.
• Manage file systems, user accounts, access permissions, storage provisioning, and RAID configurations.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and perform kernel and disk I/O tuning.
• Implement security hardening through SELinux, iptables, firewall configurations, and regular patching.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
• 4+ years of experience in Python scripting for automation and database interactions.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and system monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, and security groups.
• Experience managing AWS RDS engines including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MSSQL.
• Knowledge of DynamoDB and Redshift.
• Experience with Azure technologies including Azure SQL and Cosmos DB.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• SQL and Oracle SQL Developer proficiency.
