Description

You will manage daily operations and maintenance of the Linux server environment near Evanston, IL.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level Red Hat Linux support and lead service incident and problem resolution.
• Troubleshoot application, operating system, server hardware, network, and storage issues.
• Create and maintain standard OS installation images for virtualization templates.
• Maintain system policies and standard procedures to maximize uptime.
• Document system standards and research new administration approaches.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Linux configuration and operation in large physical or virtual datacenters.
• Expert-level experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Intermediate or higher-level scripting experience in Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Experience with IBM AIX.
• Novice or higher-level experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Systems Engineer (RHCE).
• CompTIA Linux+.
