Linux Administrator

You will manage Linux infrastructure, focusing on system stability, security, and operational efficiency. You own the full lifecycle of system maintenance, from patching to performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and configure batch jobs and standard changes based on client requirements.
• Perform OS patch management, upgrades, and critical bug fixes to maintain system health.
• Manage OS-level security, including scripting for housekeeping and log management.
• Conduct performance trend analysis, monitoring, and reporting to aid troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation for configuration, server replication, and cluster administration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Strong proficiency in shell scripting for automation and housekeeping tasks.
• Experience with operational monitoring tools and performance trend analysis.
• Knowledge of server replication and OS-level cluster administration.
• Ability to manage infrastructure services such as DNS and mail gateways.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup software agents and configuration management.
• Logical partitioning of servers and management of system tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Mail gateway administration.
• Background in infrastructure services support.
