Description

You will manage and maintain critical Linux infrastructure across production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and tune RHEL and Ubuntu systems for performance and security hardening.
• Manage VMware environments, including ESXi, vCenter, VM provisioning, and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose complex performance issues related to CPU, memory, and disk I/O across Linux and VMware.
• Perform root cause analysis on storage issues involving iSCSI and FC storage, including file system corruption recovery.
• Troubleshoot drive-level production issues and execute script automation tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Advanced experience administering VMware (ESXi, vCenter, VM provisioning).
• Expert-level troubleshooting using packet capture tools (tcpdump, Wireshark).
• Deep knowledge of file systems (XFS, EXT4) and multipathing management.
• Strong understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, RAID, LUNs).
• Proficiency in networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, VLANs, Firewalls.
• Experience working in 24x7 production environments meeting strict SLAs.
