Linux Administrator

You will manage and support Linux servers and VDI infrastructure in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Linux servers, VDI infrastructure, and hardware platforms.
• Resolve technical escalations and perform root cause analysis for major incidents to ensure business continuity.
• Develop automation and documentation for recurring technical issues and system upgrades.
• Manage software installations, patch levels, performance tuning, and firmware upgrades.
• Monitor server performance and security compliance using command-line interface tools.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator.
• Proficiency with Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with Bash, Python, and Ansible for automation.
• Knowledge of EDA applications and IBM LSF job scheduler.
• Experience with VMware 7+, Citrix Storefront, NFS, and iSCSI storage.
• Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, and Load Balancing.
• Database maintenance experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Version control experience using SVN and GitLab.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, SOS, Syslog, and SNMP.
• Physical hardware experience including rack and stack.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Cronjobs and rsync functionality.
