Linux Administrator

Manage and maintain Linux-based environments and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux operating systems including Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
• Automate system tasks and configurations using Bash, Python, and Ansible.
• Maintain and support MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues through hands-on rack and stack procedures.
• Monitor system performance using Syslog, SNMP, and standard Linux monitoring tools.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Linux administration.
• Proficiency with Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
• Hands-on experience with Bash and Python scripting.
• Experience using Ansible for automation.
• Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL database maintenance.
• Experience with SVN and GitLab version control.
• Familiarity with VMware 7+ and Citrix Storefront.
• Experience with IBM LSF job scheduler and EDA application workflows.
• Ability to manage applications such as SOS, Jira, and Confluence.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with hardware rack and stack implementation.
