Description

You will manage and maintain Linux-based infrastructure and AWS cloud services in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux systems to ensure high availability of core services.
• Configure and manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.
• Develop scripts in Python, Perl, or Bash to automate tasks and interact with APIs.
• Monitor application performance using tools like Splunk, Nagios, or New Relic.
• Resolve complex networking and system-level technical issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration or DevOps roles.
• Expertise in Linux systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Beanstalk, and Lambda.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Experience scripting against APIs.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST/SOAP, DNS, SSL, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Experience with MySQL, Apache, Tomcat, or Jenkins.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Skills

• MSCS or BSCS degree.
• Technical certifications.
• Software development experience in Java, C, or C++.
