Description

You will lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems and services within a production enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer RHEL servers to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Bash or Python to streamline provisioning and configuration.
• Write, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks to enforce configuration consistency and automate repetitive tasks.
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving RHEL performance, network connectivity, and system stability.
• Provide expert support for Logical Volume Manager (LVM) configurations, including volume resizing and snapshot management.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Red Hat Linux Engineer or System Administrator.
• Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, including kernel tuning and performance optimization.
• 3+ years of experience writing and administering Ansible playbooks and working with Ansible Tower.
• Proficiency in LVM, including volume creation and disk space allocation.
• Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Python, and YAML.
• Experience with Terraform and orchestration tools.
• Working knowledge of VMware for supporting Linux VMs.
• Experience managing Linux-based workloads in Azure.
• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Puppet, Chef, or containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM management frameworks.
