Description

Lead incident management and resolve complex technical issues for enterprise Linux environments. Own the full lifecycle of problem management, including root cause analysis, trend analysis, and proactive mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Resolve single and cross-technology incidents independently, guiding team members and managing technical escalations during crisis situations.
• Reproduce issues in-house, collaborate with CoE and hardware teams to isolate causes, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Prepare, review, implement, rollback, and test change management records for patching and security updates.
• Ensure Configuration Management Database entries are accurate and maintain quality documentation and operational metrics.
• Identify and escalate issues to vendors according to standard operating procedures.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise technical support with strong knowledge of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting all Linux flavors.
• Expertise in Linux Administration, Troubleshooting, and Networking.
• Hands-on experience with Cluster Services, SAN Technologies, and Disaster Recovery.
• Proficiency with HP Servers and HPE Service Guard.
• Ability to leverage internal technical expertise, knowledge bases, and community forums for effective solutions.
• Strong documentation skills with a focus on SLA timeframes and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Skills

• CCNA or RHCE certifications.
• Experience with SUSE Linux, HP-UX, and Red Hat Satellite for patch deployment.
