Description

You will serve as the primary resource for the Linux environment while providing backup support for Windows systems and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Engineer Linux administration solutions for project and operational requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, applications, and system software.
• Perform continuous system monitoring, performance tuning, and resource optimization.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues, including server failures and OS tuning.
• Develop and maintain technical system documentation and standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience (CentOS, RHEL, or Oracle Enterprise Linux).
• 3+ years of experience with BASH scripting and managing Cron Jobs.
• 3+ years of experience configuring Apache Web servers, including SSL, reverse proxy, and load balancing.
• 3+ years of Windows Server administration (2008, 2012, 2016) and Active Directory.
• 3+ years of hands-on VMware experience, including vSphere and cluster administration.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting complex system-level problems.
• Ability to provide 24x7 emergency on-call support.
• Proficiency in analyzing log files and managing user accounts/groups.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Samba, CIFS, NFS, or VMware Horizon View.
• Knowledge of Nagios, JBOSS, Wildfly, or IBM MQseries.
• Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMTP, TCP/IP, and SAN storage (VMFS, iSCSI).
