Description

You will serve as the primary resource for the Linux environment, providing backup support for Windows systems and enterprise applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Engineer Linux administration solutions to meet project and operational requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and hosted applications.
• Perform OS patching, software upgrades, and hardware resource optimization including CPU, memory, and disk partitioning.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues, server failures, and OS tuning requirements.
• Maintain current system documentation and contribute to established system standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience, including CentOS, RHEL, and Oracle Enterprise Linux.
• 3+ years of Windows Server administration (2008, 2012, 2016) and Active Directory.
• 3+ years of experience with BASH scripting and managing Cron Jobs.
• 3+ years of experience configuring Apache Web servers, including SSL certificates, reverse proxy, and load balancing.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting system-level problems and server failures.
• 3+ years of professional experience in technical documentation and communication.
• Ability to be accessible 24x7 for emergency support.
• Proficiency in managing user accounts, groups, and analyzing log files.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on VMware experience, including vSphere, clusters, and Horizon View.
• 3+ years of experience with Nagios, Samba, CIFS, NFS, or systemd services.
• Experience with middleware such as JBoss, AS/Wildfly, IBM MQseries, Apache Tomcat, SOLR, or Alfresco.
