Description

You will install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems across physical and virtual servers.

Responsibilities

• Administer core OS services including DHCP, DNS, SSH, and NTP, maintaining secure baseline configurations.
• Manage user access, privilege escalation, and authentication integrations (AD/LDAP) per security policy.
• Patch and update OS packages, executing maintenance windows to minimize service disruption.
• Monitor system health and tune kernel/system parameters; troubleshoot incidents via log analysis and root-cause analysis.
• Implement configuration management and automation using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to standardize builds.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Linux administration.
• Proficiency in core services: DHCP, DNS, SSH, NTP.
• Experience with configuration management tools: Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Strong scripting ability using Shell or Python.
• Knowledge of file systems and Logical Volume Management (LVM).
• Experience hardening systems and supporting security compliance audits.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware/console-level issues and coordinate break/fix.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with iSCSI/FC host configuration or NFS/SMB clients.
• Familiarity with AD/LDAP integration.
