Description

You will manage and maintain large-scale Linux environments, automating lifecycle activities and ensuring service availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Linux/Unix operating systems, specifically SLES and RHEL.
• Manage full system lifecycles including building, patching, and decommissioning.
• Automate configuration management and deployment using Ansible and Ansible Tower (AWX).
• Resolve operational challenges to meet defined service level objectives.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support always-available services.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Systems Administration experience specifically with SuSE Linux in large-scale production environments.
• Expertise in Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting (SLES, RHEL).
• Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower (AWX).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, or ksh.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools including Docker and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitLab CI/CD.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Podman, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios and Splunk.
• Competency in designing, implementing, and consuming REST APIs.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience with performance tuning and debugging using GTF traces and transaction dumps.
