Description

You manage and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments at an advanced level.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot RHEL 7, 8, and 9 systems, including boot issues and OS patching/upgrades.
• Manage Satellite server, cluster servers, Kickstart servers, and Identity Management configurations.
• Handle bare metal provisioning, logical volume management, SAN migration, and disaster recovery.
• Implement and maintain configuration management using RedHat Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Resolve complex network issues and manage user performance, cron jobs, and security protocols (SELinux, LDAP, Kerberos).

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong expertise in RHEL 7/8/9 ecosystem.
• Proficiency in shell scripting (bash/ksh, Perl, Python).
• Experience with VMware and virtualization products.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like BMC Patrol, SolarWinds, or Tivoli Monitoring.
• Understanding of Yum/RPM, repository synchronization, and application repo creation.
• Experience with security and password management software (SELinux, OSSEC, SSSD, LDAP, Kerberos).

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with hardware server administration.
