Description

Manage and support complex Linux and Unix environments in a large-scale on-site setting. Lead computer technology efforts including planning, scheduling, forecasting, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to resolve user-encountered problems.
• Install software releases, system upgrades, and patches to address Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs).
• Apply advanced diagnostic techniques to investigate root causes and recommend corrective solutions.
• Automate system tasks and management processes to increase team efficiency.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Systems Administration experience in complex environments with 100+ computers.
• Active Secret clearance and Security+ certification.
• Administration of Red Hat Linux, Solaris, and HP-UX.
• Proficiency in shell scripting using sh, csh, ksh, bash, tsch, Perl, or Python.
• Experience with Ansible or Puppet for automation and orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite Server, SystemD, and Linux process manipulation.
• Knowledge of NFS and Samba share creation.
• Advanced understanding of virtualization, Active Directory, Group Policy, and file systems.
• Experience using cron for automating system tasks.
