Description

Manage, secure, and maintain Red Hat Linux Enterprise servers and Kubernetes clusters within the Microsoft Azure Government Cloud.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers and infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
• Monitor system health and performance, ensuring 24/7 uptime in a government cloud environment.
• Apply security patches, manage firewalls, and maintain system security protocols.
• Automate routine tasks and infrastructure management using Bash and Python scripts.
• Implement backup solutions for data integrity and disaster recovery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing and maintaining Red Hat Linux Enterprise or equivalent distributions (CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Deep knowledge of command-line interfaces, networking concepts, and system architecture.
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and programming languages like Python or Perl.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes clusters and Microsoft Azure Government Cloud.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve server-level technical issues and hardware failures.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and documentation practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience training current workers on Linux server management and best practices.
