Description

Manage and maintain a complex Linux application stack within a large production environment. You will own the operational lifecycle of Linux servers and multi-server services, acting as an escalation point for complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure new server platforms using automation tools like Ansible.
• Develop internal automation tooling and automate common tasks via APIs such as FastAPI, Django, and Kafka.
• Test, debug, and troubleshoot Linux platform and network-level problems.
• Collaborate with global counterparts and offshore resources to resolve critical incidents.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Linux servers.
• Strong shell scripting and programming skills, specifically in Python.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Salt or Ansible.
• Proficiency with data querying using SQL and handling formats like YAML and JSON.
• Experience with Git and Jenkins for application deployment and continuous integration.
• Ability to debug complex multi-server services in a product-centric environment.
• Local residency in Montreal, QC is required.
• Availability to perform scheduled out-of-hours work on Saturdays (up to two weekends per month).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Django and Kafka ecosystems.
