Description

You will provide 24x7x365 production and non-production support for a global Unix server environment consisting of over 25,000 virtual and physical servers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and integrate middleware components including Oracle Fusion Middleware, JBoss, and IBM WAS.
• Upgrade and migrate the middleware tech stack for PLM activities.
• Administer middleware products and provide application support during project phases.
• Deploy and support web-based platforms.
• Develop infrastructure, tools, and documentation during project phases.
• Provide application administration and deployment support to application teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Red Hat Linux, including standalone and virtual servers.
• 2+ years of experience administering RHEL (V6, V7, V8).
• 2+ years of VMware ESX experience.
• In-depth knowledge of storage addition, filesystem administration, cluster nodes, topologies, networks, and heartbeat concepts.
• Solid understanding of Linux system administration, user administration, file/directory permissions, and LVM.
• Experience with software and system patches, TCP/IP concepts, NFS, DNS, storage concepts, and performance tuning.
• Working experience with SAN attached storage, Satellite, and Oracle ASM.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years in an operational support role with 500+ Unix servers.
• Experience with CentOS, automation scripting, Ansible, or Chef.
• Experience with ServiceNow, ITIL tools, GFS2, GPFS, Veritas Cluster, or healthcare industry environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring, storage, and backup technologies.
