Description

You will manage the daily operations and maintenance of the Linux server environment in a hybrid capacity within the Evanston / Skokie area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain policies and standard procedures to increase system uptime.
• Provide second-level Red Hat Linux support and lead service incident and problem resolution efforts.
• Troubleshoot application, Red Hat Linux OS, server hardware, network communications, and storage problems.
• Create and maintain standard OS installation images for virtualization templates.
• Document and maintain system standards while researching new approaches for administration tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Linux configuration and operation in large real or virtual datacenters.
• Expert-level experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Intermediate or higher-level scripting experience in Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Experience with IBM AIX.
• Novice or higher-level experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Any Graduate degree.
