Description

You will own automated software delivery, patch deployment, and infrastructure maintenance for Linux platforms, with a focus on field deployment for medical device products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute automated software delivery and patch deployment pipelines for Linux environments.
  • Design, implement, and test software for embedded, enterprise, or desktop medical device products.
  • Perform Linux security vulnerability assessments and impact analysis for software patches and upgrades.
  • Evaluate technical options and provide recommendations for infrastructure solutions and tooling.
  • Collaborate with product management, quality, regulatory, and engineering teams to meet delivery objectives.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Linux systems engineering and development.
  • Proficiency in Linux shell scripting, Perl, and/or Python.
  • Experience with Linux security vulnerability assessment and patch management.
  • Working knowledge of Linux development environment tools and RHEL 8/9.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and installer frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as Visio and Word.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Linux operating system internals.
  • Proficiency in C++ and CMake programming.
