Description

You will manage RHEL 6 and 7 server environments, handling OS administration, application support, and hardware maintenance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer RHEL 6 and 7 servers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and patch/package management.
• Manage LVM tasks such as volume group creation, file system extension, and logical volume management.
• Operate Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) to support high availability, fail-over, and fallback procedures.
• Perform hardware maintenance on Red Hat HP ILO machines, including replacing DIMMs, hard disks, system boards, and power supplies.
• Monitor system performance across virtual memory, swap space, disk utilization, and CPU.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix administration.
• Hands-on expertise with Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) configuration and management.
• Proficiency in LVM partition management and file system troubleshooting.
• Experience with Red Hat HP ILO hardware maintenance and component replacement.
• Ability to manage network bonding, log rotation, and Apache configurations.
• Experience implementing SSH Tectia key for passwordless connectivity.
• Knowledge of applying OS patches using BladeLogic tools.
• Skill in managing users, groups, and directory security permissions.
• Experience conducting BCP tests and disaster recovery simulations.
