You will provide paralegal, office, and administrative support to attorneys and staff on the Litigation Team.
Responsibilities
Manage the litigation lifecycle by opening files in the ActionStep case management system, tracking intake, and organizing pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
Draft, edit, and finalize simple pleadings, correspondence, and various legal documents as requested by attorneys.
Coordinate the discovery process by locating and gathering documents responsive to requests for review by attorneys and outside counsel.
Monitor online court dockets, evaluate new entries, and calendar all critical litigation dates and deadlines.
Act as a primary contact for the Litigation Team, handling communications with outside counsel and coordinating tort claim notices with the Office of the Attorney General.
Required Skills
5+ years of professional experience in a legal or paralegal capacity.
Proficiency with the civil discovery process and various forms of discovery.
Strong legal writing skills for drafting pleadings and correspondence.
Experience using ActionStep case management system.
Ability to use DoxPop and MyCase to locate and upload pleadings.
High level of computer literacy and document organization.
Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize work sequences, and handle administrative procedures with attention to detail.
Capability to work under pressure and adapt to changing workplace situations.
