Description

Design, build, and optimize the Looker semantic layer and dashboards for large data volumes.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement LookML models, looks, and dashboards to deliver clear data stories.
• Translate business and product management requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Ingest data from corporate sources and perform transformations for efficient dashboard consumption.
• Develop accurate, performant calculations and data models optimized for large datasets.
• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and resolve identified defects.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience with Looker, including LookML models, looks, and dashboard creation.
• 3+ years of experience in BI development.
• 3+ years of experience using SQL for querying, creating views, and managing Persistent Derived Tables (PDTs).
• 1+ years of experience in data modeling and caching mechanisms.
• 1+ years of experience with Snowflake or an equivalent database backend.
• 1+ years of experience designing ETL processes and implementing data warehousing strategies.
• Ability to document architectural solutions and processes clearly.
• Experience working with stakeholders to capture technical and functional requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Establish governance and deployment approaches for Looker environments.
