Description

Manage and maintain DB2 LUW database environments across development, QA, training, and production.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and new environment setups.
• Develop complex SQL statements for ETL and data migration processes.
• Support application developers with database design, implementation, and SQL performance tuning.
• Design upgrade strategies including checklists, milestones, and fallback procedures.
• Maintain entity relationship diagrams using Erwin and document entity relationships.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL.
• 3+ years of experience with DB2 LUW.
• 3+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• 1+ year of experience with Relational Data Modeling.
• 1+ year of experience with Erwin.
• 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work non-business hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Quest's Toad for DB2 LUW, IBM's DataQuant, or QMF.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting (ksh, csh, bash, or sh).
• Experience with COBOL or DBI Software's Performance Suite for DB2 LUW.
