Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets
• Design, build, and optimize machine learning models and predictive systems
• Perform feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model evaluation
• Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities within data to drive business decisions
• Develop clear, compelling data stories and present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Build dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to highlight key insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Analytics, Operations, Marketing, IT)
• Enhance data collection processes to improve data quality and usability
• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to define problems and iterate on solutions
• Ensure data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality (HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.)
• Support a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning
• Strong proficiency in Python or R and SQL
• Experience building machine learning models (e.g., classification, regression, clustering)
• Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics (regression, probability, linear algebra)
• Experience with data wrangling, preprocessing, and large dataset analysis
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib, etc.)
• Strong communication skills with ability to present insights clearly
• Proven ability to solve complex business problems with data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data tools (Hive, Pig, Spark)
• Familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Experience working in regulated environments (healthcare, insurance, etc.)
