Description

Develop AI/ML models for microscopy imaging, focusing on cell segmentation and classification. Build end-to-end machine learning and data pipelines in collaboration with AI scientists and data engineers.

Responsibilities

• Execute machine learning workstreams for cell segmentation and classification from microscopy images.
• Collaborate with AI and imaging scientists on vision-based research projects.
• Partner with ML and data engineers to construct robust data and ML pipelines.
• Analyze image-like data and process microscopy images for model training.

Required Skills

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics.
• 3+ years of experience in deep learning applied to image processing or computer vision.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Bash, and Machine Learning.
• Direct experience acquiring or processing microscopy images.
• Background in deep learning within the healthcare industry or research institutes.
• Experience with thesis work related to computer vision topics.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of classical image processing, OpenCV, and PyTorch (Lightning).
• Familiarity with experiment tracking, dataset versioning, model management, and git.
• Understanding of molecular biology, biotech, and the drug development process.
