Description

Develop and maintain macOS storage drivers using DriverKit, focusing on SCSI protocols and hardware integration.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement storage drivers using DriverKit and IO Kit concepts.
• Handle SCSI command processing, data transfer, and error recovery.
• Debug and troubleshoot driver issues using LLDB and Instruments.
• Ensure compliance with Apple’s security, sandboxing, and code signing requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate storage devices and maintain documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in macOS driver development.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Deep understanding of DriverKit APIs and macOS user-space driver architecture.
• Solid knowledge of SCSI protocols and storage architecture, including RAID.
• Experience with macOS debugging tools: LLDB, Instruments, and system logs.
• Familiarity with macOS security models and code signing procedures.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Swift or Objective-C.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces like PCI, Thunderbolt, and USB.
