Description

You will own the packaging and distribution of vendor software on macOS, ensuring reliable installation and upgrades for enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Create PKG packages using the command line interface.
• Customize software behavior with pre-install, post-install, and uninstall scripts.
• Troubleshoot vendor packaging issues to ensure successful installation and uninstalls.
• Perform root cause analysis on distribution errors and implement resolution plans.
• Conduct code reviews for scripts and maintain process rigor.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in macOS software packaging.
• Expertise with macOS 10.15 or newer.
• Proficiency in Bash or ZSH scripting.
• Experience with Python 3+.
• Strong command of Git for version control.
• Experience deploying and configuring macOS enterprise software.
• Ability to handle package distribution failures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MDM solutions such as Jamf or Munki.
