Description

Manage mainframe storage, system performance, and disaster recovery operations for enterprise systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure system performance, reliability, and availability meet service level agreements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for all managed systems.
• Design rollouts for system enhancements and upgrades while establishing technical standards.
• Automate processes using VMWare tools and maintain standard operating procedure documentation.
• Coordinate with Service Center and Network Control Center for problem escalation and resolution.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of relevant work experience in mainframe environments.
• Hands-on expertise with GDPS, Global Mirror, Metro Mirror, and HiperSwap.
• Proficient in HCD for large-scale enterprise environments with multiple CECs.
• Experience installing and configuring IBM Mainframes, Virtual Tape systems, and DS8000 DASD.
• Knowledge of Brocade SAN equipment and Brocade Network Advisor.
• Proficiency in DFSMS policies, IBM Flash copy, and dataset structures (PDS, PDSE, GDG, VSAM).
• Experience with FDR/ABR, DFDSS, CA1 Tape Management, and TDMF.
• Coding skills in Assembler, Automation, GDPS, Rexx, and CLIST.
• Proficiency in RACF or ACF2 security tools and monitoring via Omegamon, RMF, SMF, and SAS.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
